Family Day Camp at Mataguay Scout Ranch, located in the hills near Warner Spring, CA offers numerous fun and exciting activities for people of all ages. Archery and BB gun are great for everybody. Bring your fishing gear! Parker lake provides excellent fishing even for the smaller children. The lake also offers the opportunity to paddle a canoe, or just sit on the shore and enjoy the breathtaking view. You can enjoy the miles and miles of trails on your own, or on a guided tour. Don’t forget to stop by the craft area where you can make something that will always remind you of the good times you had at Mataguay.
The trading post will offer a variety of ice cream, candy and other snack items as well as Mataguay Scout Ranch merchandise.
Like most national, state, or private campgrounds, you will be sleeping in your own tents. ALL sites are assigned when you arrive at camp and grouped by unit. Hot showers and restrooms are nearby each of the campsites.
Mataguay also has an RV campground with 6 sites that have electrical hookups, and water spigots are nearby. There is a small additional fee of $20 (for the whole weekend) for RV lot use.
A great choice of two food plans is available.
The first is bringing your own food to camp. Ice is available from the dining hall. All other food MUST be stored in your vehicles at night.
The second choice is prepared meals at Parker dining hall. Eat like the Scouts do during summer camp. Varied and nutritious meals are available for a very reasonable fee. Meals include all meal on Saturday.
Sunday breakfast is available to everyone for an additional fee for those on the meal plan and for those who are cooking their own food.
Camp opens at 4 pm on Friday for check in, please do not arrive earlier as we will not begin check-in until 4 pm. Please do not go to a campsite and set up prior to check in, you may be asked to move as some sites have been assigned for large groups. Please have your medical forms signed and ready at check-in.
Who's Eligible: The families of anyone registered in the Boy Scouts of America may participate. You can bring along friends too but they must only be camping when you are.

Cost: Costs shown are for the weekend, NOT per night. Family Camp is a weekend event.
Dining Hall Food Plan:
The cost for camping alone is $60 per family up to 6, up to one week from first camp date, $75 for week prior. $20 per person otherwise if you are not camping as a family. (Does not include food)
$20.00 per person: Saturday meals
$6.00 per person: for Sunday breakfast
