Summer Camp at Mataguay Scout Ranch!

Join us for a summer of Scouting fun at the Mataguay Scout Ranch! This beautiful 840 acre ranch is located in oak and pine forests, 3,200 feet above sea level in the mountains northeast of San Diego. Mataguay is a BSA accredited facility and is known as one of the Western Region's finest Scout camps!

Pre-Camp Information

Thank you for considering Mataguay Scout Ranch. For over 60 years Scouts from San Diego, the southwest, and even across the globe, have come to camp at Mataguay. The beautiful setting, the exciting and unique activities, and our great staff have inspired many Scouts and Scouters and over the past ten years Mataguay has seen considerable growth in attendance. In 2013, that comes to an end. Why? We listened. We listened to the feedback from you, our leaders and acted upon it. In 2012 we heard that we have reached uncomfortably beyond optimum capacity for our camp, so in 2013 we are intentionally capping our weekly attendance to ensure every camper a quality experience. Handgun Shooting (FOR 2013 ONLY)

This summer we are conducting a special pilot program introducing Scouts to the fun, excitement and responsibility of handgun marksmanship. This program has only been approved for 2013, and is available ONLY during the 2013 Summer Resident Camp.

Counselor Training Program

A unique opportunity for Scouts and Venturers 14 & 15 years old to: Learn New Leadership Skills, Enjoy Summer Camp, Make New Friends, Have FUN, Earn Merit Badges or Ranger Requirements!!!

Buddy Camp

Your unit is not attending camp at Mataguay Scout Ranch this summer, but you want to attend? You can, as part of our Buddy Camp program. You'll be joined other Scouts for your week of fun and adventure.
