A one-of-a-kind opportunity for non-Scouting boys and girls ages 5-10 and their families to create lasting memories while you explore what the outdoors have to offer.



Experience the great outdoors and enjoy the overnight camping experience at Camp Bashor at Otay Lakes County Park. These fun filled weekends are staffed by trained volunteers who will assist campers at activity stations during the day making sure that each family gets the most out of their camp experience. Activities include crafts, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, archery/slingshots and more. In the evenings, your family is invited to participate in movie night and a campfire program. Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday breakfast are included.

Upon entering Otay Lakes County Park, do NOT pay the parking fee. Follow the signs to the Scout camp where there is free parking.

COST


$5 per person
(Ages 3 and under free)

If your family cannot cover the full cost to participate, camperships are available to help. To apply, complete the questionnaire during online registration.

Choose a weekend and escape the indoors!

To register, click on the weekend you want to attend. Go through the registration form and checkout. Once you get your receipt, CONGRATULATIONS, you are registered for camp.

Unable to spend the night? Check the day only option when registering and still join us for a Saturday of fun. Saturday morning check in is from 7:30-9 am.

WHAT TO BRING

Mark all equipment and clothing with names!

  • BSA Medical form with Parts A & B - Each participant (including siblings and adults) must bring a completed form. This does not require a physical at a physician’s office, it simply should be completed by a parent or guardian.
  • Towel for canoeing and kayaking (there are no showers on site)
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Backpack
  • Water bottle
  • Flashlight
  • Camp Chair (if have one)
  • Insect Repellent
  • Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.)
  • Medications (if needed)
  • Snacks (if desired)
  • Swimwear for canoeing and kayaking (if desired)
  • Sleepwear
  • Change of clothes for each day and one extra
  • Sweatshirt or light jacket
  • Pillow
  • Sleeping bag (if have one)
  • Sleeping mat or air mattress (if have one)
  • Tent (if have one)

No tent?.......No worries

First time youth campers Ages 5- to 10 receive their very own sleeping bag and first-time families receive a tent to take Home.
